Darla Rae Pope

Darla Rae Pope was born August 7, 1946, in Pittsburgh PA to the late Bernice Grace, Fred Moorefield, and Stepfather-Henry Grace. Darla Rae aka Dottie was called to eternal rest on July 5, 2022. She graduated from Schenley HS,received an Associate Degree from the College of Mt. Saint Vincent, and her BA from California State University. Darla Rae held many job titles and positions. However, the job she was most proud of and gained recognition throughout New York City for was The Parks Department and Recreation, where she was an educator for over 20 years.
Once Darla Rae retired, she traveled extensively to share fond memories with her family and friends. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Victor E. Pope, her 2 daughters
Jacquelynn Ellis and Daria Rae Ellis, her 2 stepsons Victor H. Pope and William Pope, 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, her Aunt Marva, and a number of close family members.
