Anita L. Upshaw

Anita Louise Upshaw was born on June 11, 1975 in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania.  She was the youngest daughter of Luther Logan and the only child of Barbara Upshaw.
Anita was called home on November 24th 2022 Thanksgiving Day and we would like to thank God for blessing us with her presence.

Anita grew up on the Hill district and she didn't mind telling people that she was from Bentley Drive where she had a happy childhood. 

  Anita graduated with honors from Brashear High School in 1993. Following high School she began her career at Cigna Healthcare insurance.
After working a few years in the insurance field, her intelligence and will to succeed led her to obtain a degree in Business Administration/ Accounting in 1999. That same year she purchased her first home, where she moved her mother and grandmother in with her.

In 2004, Anita became something she loved most, a mother to Raymond D. Brown lll. Being a mother made her so happy. She was blessed to see her son graduate from high school. She made sure her son was able to see the world and experience as much as he could in his young life. They both love to travel often going on cruises and visiting various resorts.

Anita enjoyed it so much so, she began working in the travel agency field. She enjoyed arranging trips for herself and others.

She leaves to miss and mourn her: father Luther Logan mother Barbara Upshaw, son Raymond D. Brown lll, his father Raymond D. Brown II, sisters Beatrice Kay Logan & Janet (Logan) Gray, brother Louis Ernest Logan, her partner Andre Johnson.

Services will be held at Carrone Baptist Church on Monday, December 5, 2022.      Visitation: 10am-11am          Service:11am
